Eat your greens

Monday:
I have found my new favorite leafy green, swiss chard. Wow. Who knew this dark green packed so much flavor? And not to mention looks so damn cute in Muncie’s finest Ball Jars. Not sure if I’m more excited for the lunch or the cuteness of the lunch in the jars.

Soups on!

Sunday:
Perhaps it was all the gross foods from Saturday. Perhaps it is the lack of spring that happens here in Seattle. Perhaps it is due to Timm’s sickness. Or perhaps it had something to do with craving fresh organic produce. All the same…I made soup. It cured all.

I scream you scream!

Saturday:
Today Timm let all adventures be all things that I wanted to do. Watch Butler win in the comforts of a sports bar while eating non-healthy foods. Yes please. Go shopping afterwards. Yes please. See the King’s Speech. Yes please. Saddest part of the day was really one of the happiest at the same time…not being able to finish the sundae on Saturday while Butler went into OT.

Thursday:
Best day of the week! It is also the day we get fresh organic and normally local fruits and veggies via Full Circle Farms! Nom nom nom.

Wednesday:
Sunshine, fresh flowery things in bloom, leaving the office before 6pm. So I guess that’s actually three things. Zing!

March is for me

What a difference a day makes. Legendary jazz singers got something right with that small phrase. I too am finding that with a small bit of 24 hours, I am able to make small improvements on me, my apartment, basically my life. I am reclaiming what has been mine this whole time, but neglected by me simply out of sheer confusion and laziness. I am making the madness in my life stop during the month of March. I am opting instead to take part in the madness of living, laughing, loving. It might be a slow go at putting myself back together, but I am already thankful for the work I’m putting in on myself.

Next steps: hang out with friends more frequently, meet new friends, attend a yoga class, take a photography class, update blog more frequently via iPad, organize apartment, fall in love with Seattle all over again.

I am hopeful that within the few days of March, I will have entered this month as a lamb, but I will exist as a lion. #winning!

Lately, there aren’t enough hours in the day to motivate me to keep moving forward. My sanity seems to be lost. My motivation is dwindling and my enthusiasm for a brighter tomorrow doesn’t seem to be alive. I must realign life immediately.

Where has summer gone? It’s only August and we’re back in layers. We went from lower 90s to mid 60s. Thanks summer for stopping by. it was great hanging out with you while you were here. Per my last post, only tough times ahead seem to remain. But in the little time we have, here’s to taking all that we can to enjoy sunshine, enjoy friends and enjoy adorable dogs on sidewalks.
